Doti - In the forest of Doti, the caravan has turned red at this time. At one time, only the locals used to eat and the rest of the caravan used to be eaten by the monkeys, but now the citizens have started picking and selling it. The locals have started picking ripe caravans in the forest and bringing them to the markets and highways for sale and distribution. It has become a fast source of income for the people here since the caravan started picking and selling.
Another local, Ramesh Bogati, said that most of the children here are now picking up caravans and selling them after earning good income from caravans. According to the locals, there is a lot of caravan in the forest as there is no hailstorm in Doti this year.
Not only that, there seems to be a long queue of caravan sellers on various sections of the Bhimdatta Highway, the only major hilly highway here. Mohan Bahadur Malla of Gaira Bazaar under Bhim Dutta Highway said that they used to charge up to Rs 200.
